It is my life’s mission to live a life that my daughter can
grow up to want to emulate. The idea is to BE the person that I ultimately
want her to become. Raising a little girl in today’s society seems more
challenging than ever. A lot of the messages out there are so inconsistent with
some of the most basic values that were passed down to me from my mother:
self-respect and dignity. Our young women seem to be lost in a sea of Basketball
Wives, Love and Hip Hop and Real Housewives (this is putting it lightly).
However, there are positive examples out there. Superbowl
2013 showcased a few of these women brilliantly:

Beyonce
Alicia Keys
